Over the years i have been heart broken. I would place all my energy into a man that did not place all of his energy into me. I have finally learned to take that energy and place it into me. I understand that just like with the relationships i once had there will be good, bad, sad and glad. The difference is I am ready for the commitment i am making to myself, as they were not, understanding could not be given as where I am jogging the full track, they are only sprinting the straight away. Angry I will not be, I’ll leave it as a simple misunderstanding. I will take the smiles i was given, the joy i received, the kisses, the sex, well the good sex ;-), the bruises, the tears, the pain, and everything else and use it for me, to better me. And as I learn and grow and love me, someone will come and I will be whole enough to love them and they will be whole enough to love me and we will be. But this moment, this time, this day is for me to be.
